Home Remedies for Bruises – Effective and Interesting!
from:Almost each of the human ailments has a parallel home remedy vis-à-vis the medical routes, especially the minor and common ones. This is perhaps the most important for the many types of cuts, bruises and injuries we generally get in our daily routine.
For one, home remedies for bruises bring with them the great advantage of having no side effects. When you resort to alternative methods, you save yourself from the unpleasant churning in your stomach that comes with the use of strong medications, while also protecting yourself from killing your appetite altogether.
The Methods
Well, to begin with, the most effective, immediate and age-old home remedy for bruises is to apply an ice pack or cold compression on the affected area. An important fact to remember here is that an ice pack is most effective when it is applied immediately after the bruise has occurred. This prevents the pain from aggravating and also minimizes the discoloration of the affected area.
Another method, which is also perhaps one of the most interesting home remedies for bruises, is to apply melted chocolate directly over the affected area and wrap it in a gauze overnight, of course to be cleaned the next morning. Some individuals have even found applying vitamin E or K cream to the bruise directly to be one of the effective home remedies for bruises.
Talking of home remedies for bruises, there are certain methods which are more helpful for some set of people than the others are. For instance, some individuals find it very helpful to get the green part of a watermelon rind and place it on the bruise for 5 minutes every three hours. Yet others find it useful to massage the sore area with some cocoa butter.
Though it might sound slightly impractical, but one of the home remedies for bruises is to push the bruised area quite hard for about 30 seconds that might actually stimulate the blood flow to the affected spot. Meanwhile, application of vinegar over the affected region has also benefited a few of those looking for good home remedies for bruises.
On the other hand, a mixture of salt and butter is also often rubbed on the bruised area to obtain relief. Still others find it extremely useful to apply minty toothpaste on the bruised area and keep it covered with a band-aid overnight. Interestingly enough, some have even tried running the bruise gently with a toothbrush and found it to be one of the quite effective home remedies for bruises.
